Student Voice

To ensure students at The Ripley Academy are able to voice their opinions, a Student Voice panel is elected for each year group.

Students put themselves forward if they would like to be a representative.  A democratic vote takes place and two candidates from each form sit on the panel (usually one boy and one girl).

Each year group meets with a member of staff each half term for an hour.  There is a set agenda and Form Representatives can bring any items that they, or their peers wish to discuss.

The students at The Ripley Academy are encouraged to actively contribute towards the making of decisions which will have an impact on their time here. For example, through Student Voice, the design of the school uniform was chosen.

Additionally, students organise events to raise money for charity and Y11 students make choices about their prom and leaving celebrations.
