The Year 11 Accelerating Progress Evening, which will be held at school on Thursday 17th November, starting with registration and refreshments at 5.00pm, with a carousel of workshops from 5.20pm until 7.20pm.
This is an evening which replaces the ‘revision skills’ evening, to ensure we can encompass a wider range of strategies and to ensure we offer the absolute best support to our students as they approach their GCSE examinations. Our teaching and support staff will put on a series of workshops which will be beneficial for you and your child as they will give you valuable information, tips and guidance as to how best support your child through their remaining months of GCSE courses. We would strongly advise all parents of Year 11 students- and the students themselves – to attend the evening if possible. Not only might it be useful in the run up to the mock exams in early December, but its key focus will be on how to effectively support your child and encourage them to be best prepared for the challenges of a potentially stressful period of time.
