Mrs H. Frost-Briggs

Executive Headteacher

Mrs. Frost-Briggs is the Executive Headteacher and the overarching leader of The Ripley Academy. She sets the strategic vision for the school, ensuring a clear focus on continuous improvement and excellence. As the driving force behind all school advancements, her leadership drives forward standards across the academy.

Mr J. de Rijk

Head of School

Mr. J de Rijk is the Head of School at The Ripley Academy, responsible for ensuring that the school’s strategic vision is successfully delivered. He oversees the day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards across all areas of school life and ensuring a remarkable experience for students and staff alike.

Mrs J. Thawley

Deputy Headteacher

Mrs. Thawley leads on curriculum and assessment at The Ripley Academy, ensuring students study a broad and balanced curriculum while making consistent progress in all subjects. She oversees assessment data and implements timely interventions, driving remarkable progress and achievement.

Mrs L. Crowder

Deputy Headteacher

Mrs. Crowder is the Deputy Headteacher responsible for safeguarding and overseeing behaviour and standards across The Ripley Academy. She focuses on developing students’ character and conduct, ensuring they embody the high standards set by the Ripley Way.

Mrs S. Robinson-Kent

Assistant Headteacher

Mrs. S. Robinson-Kent is the Assistant Headteacher responsible for Teaching and Learning across The Ripley Academy. She drives our vision for remarkable teaching, ensuring high standards in classroom practice. She oversees the professional development of teaching staff and has a strategic focus on SEND provision, ensuring all students receive the support they need to excel and achieve remarkable progress.

Ms E. Iwanczuk

Assistant Headteacher

Ms E. Iwanczuk is the Assistant Headteacher responsible for The Ripley Academy Sixth Form. She ensures the Sixth Form curriculum is robust, with high standards of progress and achievement. Additionally, she oversees the pupil premium strategy, ensuring all students are supported and provided with opportunities to fulfill their potential.

Mr S. Kingsland

Associate Assistant Headteacher

Mr. Kingsland is an Associate Assistant Headteacher who works alongside Mrs. Crowder to ensure the safeguarding of all our students as one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads. He is also Head of Year 10, guiding students through an important stage of their school journey, and a committed member of the PE department, encouraging teamwork and physical wellbeing

Mr C. Hudson

Associate Assistant Headteacher

Mr. Hudson is the Associate Assistant Headteacher and Head of the Computer Science department at The Ripley Academy. He oversees central IT systems, network security, and software and communication systems. Additionally, he leads on the positive aspects of our character and conduct policies, including the student rewards program, ensuring students feel proud of their achievements and contributions within the school.

Mrs C. Robson

Director of Services

Mrs. Robson is the Director of Services at The Ripley Academy, overseeing the associate staff and the grounds and maintenance team. She ensures that the school grounds and buildings are fully operational and maintained to the highest standards, supporting a safe and welcoming environment for all.
