• Black school blazer (with logo) – must be worn at all times*
• School tie (clip on) – must be worn at all times*
• Plain black loose fitting, tailored trousers (full length) or; Plain black tailored skirt (must be knee length and not tight fitting/stretchy material) – See below
• Plain white collared shirt – long or short sleeves (collar must be suitable to take a tie) – shirt must be tucked in at all times.
• Plain white or black socks or; Plain natural or black tights (no patterns)
• Plain black polishable shoes (no suede, canvas pumps, white stitching, logos or trainer type shoes), flat-heeled (not boots or trainers).

 

• Optional Academy jumper (or plain grey V-neck jumper) – This is optional but must be worn in addition to school blazer, not instead of. “Plain” is defined as being worn without embellishment i.e. studs, additional zips, logos etc

 

• In cold weather a white plain T shirt may be worn under the shirt

 

• Outdoor coats should be plain and dark in colour and preferably weatherproof (no sports tops/hoodies/denim or leather)

 

 

Additional uniform expectations

Coats

• Coats should be worn over the top of the blazer.
• Hoodies, sweatshirts and non-uniform jumpers are not permitted. Parents/carers are asked not to send students to school in hoodies, sports tops, denim, leather, leather look or studded jackets and coats.

Accessories

• Only one pair of stud earrings, with a maximum of one in each ear is permitted

 

• Ear spacers are not acceptable

 

• Single, small, plain nose stud is permitted but no other facial piercings are permitted.

 

• Nails should be natural in length and colour. No false nails should be worn and for health and safety reasons, nails should be no deeper than 3mm (the depth of a one-pound coin).

 

• Extremes of fashion in respect of clothing, hair style, (including unnatural or bright colours and shaved patterns) and general appearance are not acceptable.

 

• No visible body art or tattoos

 

• Rings, necklaces, bracelets and chains are not allowed for Health and Safety reasons.

 

• Make-up, if worn, must be discreet and natural.

 

Headscarves

A plain black head scarf may be worn for religious observance or medical conditions.

 

 

*Unless the Head of School declares a non blazer day due to high weather temperatures, students would not have to wear a blazer but their shirts must be tucked in at all times and the blazer should not be replaced with the school jumper. Students may also wear knee length tailored black shorts.
