As a school we are very proud of the work we do to ensure that transition to Ripley Academy is as smooth as possible. We have close working relationships with all our feeder schools and work closely with them to make transition as stress free as possible.

We run a range of transition events throughout the year, these include:

Year 6 – Two full days at The Ripley Academy in the summer term plus a parent/student evening prior to the transition days.

Parents are also welcome to book an appointment to accompany a member of the senior leadership team on a school learning walk on any point during the school year.

Students with special educational needs will have an enhanced transition programme developed with the feeder school and Mrs Robinson-Kent which will be arranged for the final summer term.

Transition Evening: Monday 1st July 6pm-8pm
